Class of 81 Gives Back to USNA

Since our graduation, the class of 1981 has continued to provide support to USNA. We provided financial support for the renovation of the Navy Marine Corps Stadium.  The next time you attend a football game, ensure you check out the class wall (photo to right). As part of the 25th Reunion Class gift, we provided financial support for the Midshipman Ethics Essay Contest and Dinner, including the Vice Admiral William P. Lawrence Ethics Essay Award.  In 2009, agreed to sponsor the 26th company wardroom, which was in need of a significant upgrade.

As part of our 30th Reunion, our class agreed (a) to raise $100,000 in support of the USNA Annual Fund and (b) to raise $500,000 in support of the Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership. Please CLICK HERE to read the USNA Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership newsletter and see more about this exciting program!

Class of 1981 is playing a leadership role in helping to elevate Navy’s rugby program to be more competitive for a National Championship. The signage on the scoreboard recognizes the commitment of the ’81 ruggers who are helping to make a difference.  See picture to the right and click HERE for more information.

The 40th Reunion class project is now underway supporting a variety of programs at USNA. Click HERE for more information.

More than 35 years ago, USNA began to provide a foundation for the successful careers that we enjoy today.  Your support for the current and future brigades helps to ensure that this tradition continues!

Thanks for your support!

'81 Support for the Alumni Center Project

Update on the Alumni Center Class of ’81 recognition fundraising campaign: As mentioned at our 40th reunion class meeting last fall, we have surpassed our $250,000 goal thanks to the generous donations of a few of our now “PLANKOWNER” classmates. Additionally, ‘81 will be receiving class recognition at the new center along with 28 other classes who are also supporting it. WAY TO GO ’81!

All PLANKOWNERS will be individually recognized on the PLANKOWNER donor wall in the new center. If you would like to become a PLANKOWNER, you can make a 5-year pledge through 12.31.2022, $2,500 per year for 5 years, be recognized in perpetuity as a PLANKOWNER, and be at the Presidents Circle donor level for the next 5 years.

To donate to the Alumni Center Project at any level, go to www.usna.com/give/1981 or can call/email Dan Quattrini at 952-210-5533 / dan.quattrini@usna.com. For more information visit: PLANKOWNER Info and Alumni Center Detail .
Also, to see the progress of the construction project please visit Alumni Center Camera.

Thank you all for your consideration in supporting this outstanding project for our future!

Thanks, in advance, for your continued support of USNA and the great Class of 1981!
